Poverty Eradication Achieved in All CECEP-aided Impoverished Counties

On February 26, with the approval of the People’s Government of Henan Province, 14 impoverished counties, including Songxian County, was officially lifted out of poverty. Prior to this, Fuchuan Yao Autonomous County in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region shook off poverty in April 2019. Thus, the two poverty-stricken counties under the paring assistance of CECEP have both achieved poverty alleviation. 

Since 2013, when Songxian County in Henan Province and Fuchuan Yao Autonomous County in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region were designated as its assistance recipients, CECEP has invested nearly 50 million yuan (US$7.2 million) in total in the two counties to fund five newly-launched major projects: Countryside Illumination, Education Assistance, Mountain Dew, Health Assistance and Industrial Poverty Alleviation. The company has focused on solving the most fundamental, realistic and serious problems facing the local people in production and life, made continuous efforts to help advance local economic development, and received high compliments from the local government.
